Brandon DuBois
Founding Partner
Brandon DuBois founded DuBois Company in 2017 for a particular kind of moment. Something is wrong. The answer cannot be searched for. The people closest to the problem have been close to it too long to see it clearly, and the decision will not wait for them to.
He is hired to bring the outside read. That means designing what to collect before collecting it, testing the assumption the room has stopped questioning, and returning with a brief short enough to act on that week.
When the work points somewhere a client did not want to go, he says so. Colleagues describe the same trait in different words. He sees the whole board. He comes at a problem from angles most people never think to try.
For nearly a decade Brandon has advised executives and mission driven organizations on strategy, stakeholder management, and risk. The work has included open source intelligence and due diligence ahead of decisions that only get made once, threat and issue analysis, statewide campaigns built with nonprofits and political committees, national issue tracking and decision dashboards for Fortune 200 companies, and project budgets in the tens of millions. He has also held senior operating roles inside two multistate public affairs and management consulting firms, most recently as vice president of operations and development.
He knows what a wrong call costs because he has paid for one himself. Before he founded the firm, he ran a company. Two hundred employees, the payroll, the inventory, and the number at the bottom of the month. He advises like someone who has had to make the decision, not only brief it.
Brandon studied political science at Auburn University and holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Auburn University at Montgomery. He is a Certified Nonprofit Professional through the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance, a member of the Strategic Consortium of Intelligence Professionals and the American Association of Political Consultants, and serves on the junior board of Mitchell’s Place, which works with children affected by autism and other developmental disabilities.
He lives in Birmingham. The curiosity came first. The method came later.
